unfinished - jellyfish

I never know where paintings are going when I start them. That also means it’s hard to know when they’re finished. This one took shape really quickly. The trick then is to know when to stop, even when you don’t want to. When you just want to keep painting because the sensations and focus are so delightful. I’m more likely to overdo a work than underdo it. So I stopped. I’ll decide if it’s finished tomorrow. Or the next day. Or whenever.
