it’s an old paint pot containing white spirit where some brushes are left to die. I don’t treat my brushes well. I don’t mean to be cruel to them but I am lazy and there is no sink in my workshop. I think the sorry state of my brushes informs my style for better or worse. I am not precise painter, so maybe the effect is cancelled out. I rarely buy new brushes since they are expensive, the decent ones anyway, and I am aware that I am an irresponsible owner. Poor brushes.
